The Strikingly beautiful Elafonissi beach is located on Elafonissi island. This is located near the southwestern part of this popular Greek island. This small island has beautiful white sand that’s separated from the shore by a shallow crystal clear water lagoon. This beautiful beach is about 75km from Chania and it’s well worth the visit if you are in Crete or planning a visit to one of Greece’s most popular islands with tourists.

The name of the beach translates to “Deer Island” in Greek but don’t worry, there are no deer there. The beach is about 200 metres from the island but you don’t need a boat or anything. You can reach it by walking in the water of the lagoon. Don’t worry, the depth of the water is no more than a meter deep.
