The famous white pebbles Lalaria beach is by far Skiathos island’s main attraction. You will find this beach featured on post cards for Skiathos. Lalaria is the Greek word for ‘pebbles’ which give the beach its name because it’s full of them. Reaching Lalaria beach is not possible by road so the only way to get to it is by boat. You will find plenty of organized boat trips to this stunning beach – you won’t have any trouble booking a boat ride to get there. You will find there are plenty of boat trips available to book from the Skiathos dock. This is just next to Skiathos port. Do however check the weather conditions first. Due to the location of this beach, reaching it by boat will depend on sea and wind conditions.
The water on Lalaria beach is crystal clear and you won’t be disappointed with the photos you can take on the day. You will not really need to apply any filters to your photos to get those amazing blue colours. At different times of the day, the sunshine will give the water those stunning hues. Don’t forget to swim between those big rocks at the end of the beach too – It’s believed that those who swim under the “Tripia Petra” archway, get younger.
